Warning
This software should only be uploaded to the Furuno product for which it is intended. If this software is uploaded to a product other than the product it is designed for, it will render the unit inoperative. FURUNO ELECTRIC CO., LTD. will not be responsible for software loaded on the wrong product.
This software comes with an instruction manual (Software Manual). It is necessary to read the manual carefully prior to using the software.
If the software upload fails, and subsequent upload attempts prove unsuccessful, please contact the Furuno National Distributor in your area.
Software License Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using this software, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the following license agreement. Please read this agreement carefully.
FURUNO ELECTRIC CO., LTD. grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the upgrade software ("Software") in binary executable form in the normal operation of the applicable FURUNO ELECTRIC CO., LTD. products. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the software remain with FURUNO ELECTRIC CO., LTD. This license is personal to you and you may make copies of the software only for your use to update your Furuno products and for operating Furuno products only. You agree that this license agreement does not need to be signed for it to take effect.
The software is provided on an "as is" basis without warranty of any kind -- either expressed or implied -- including, without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. FURUNO ELECTRIC CO., LTD. does not warrant the performance of the software or that the software will meet your requirements or operate error free.
You acknowledge that this software is the property of FURUNO ELECTRIC CO., LTD. and is protected under Japanese copyright laws and international copyright treaties. You further acknowledge that the structure, organization, and code of the software are valuable trade secrets of FURUNO ELECTRIC CO., LTD. and that the software in source code form remains a valuable trade secret of FURUNO ELECTRIC CO., LTD. You agree not to decompile, disassemble, modify, reverse assemble, reverse engineer, or reduce to human readable form the software or any part thereof or create any derivative works based on the software, except and only to the extent that such activity is permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.
You agree not to use the software for any activities related to nuclear explosives, reactors, fuel fabrication, conversion, storage, and fuel cycles, for a rocket system or unmanned aerial vehicle project, for design, development, production, stockpiling, or use of chemical or biological weapons and for any military purpose in the UN arms embargoes. Also you agree not to export, re-export, or otherwise transmit, directly or indirectly, the software except in full compliance with all applicable export laws and regulations.
