The company specializes in the development of FPGA IP cores for time synchronization and network redundancy protocols.
One of their Pmod™ (*) products is the "AIONYX PM GNSS FURUNO GT88". Furuno GNSS timing module "GT-88" is incorporated in this product.
*"Pmod" stands for “Peripheral module” and is a standard established by Digilent. It is an interface standard for connecting various peripheral function expansion boards to microcontroller boards, etc.
AIONYX PM GNSS FURUNO GT88
The “AIONYX PM GNSS FURUNO GT88” module enables accurate time synchronization by receiving signals from GNSS satellites and can be easily connected to a host such as a microcontroller or FPGA board. This module receives signals from GNSS satellites and acquires position and time information. Based on this information, the time can be synchronized with nanosecond order accuracy using the 1PPS signal. Thus, the module can be used to easily synchronize time with high accuracy without any board mounting. This module can be incorporated into network equipment such as PTP grand master clocks, which require extremely accurate time synchronization.
One example of such network equipment is the “AIONYX Hive” product line, configured as a PTP grand master clock also manufactured by NetTimeLogic. With its customizable configuration, the “AIONYX Hive-S” has up to four expansion slots for Pmod™ and can be equipped with various input/output modules such as receivers. Thus, it can be easily customized by selecting and connecting Pmod™ modules and connectors according to the user's wishes.
The more powerful "AIONYX Hive-M" has also four expansion slots for Pmod™ and in addition two high performance slots for up to four Ethernet ports.
